[…] I have used essential oils for the past 13 years as a therapist, and for a number of years with my boys. But my discovery over the past couple of years has been how powerful and supportive they are for our children, in multiple ways. You can read more about why I consider essential oils to be a necessary part of my family life in my blog here.
[…] Used on the feet, or put in a cold air diffuser, you can easily create and aroma of calm and relaxation which creates the right environment for sleep and is a fantastic accompaniment to the hypnotherapy for sleep techniques.
To me they are a simply what the earth yields for our own benefit. God's medicine cabinet! I don't skimp on the essentials like good nutrition or wellbeing and health. I also look upon the price for the oils as supporting the production and research to be the absolute best in turn enabling those around the world working in the industry to have jobs and decent living standards which they might otherwise not have attained.

I completely agree with you. I’ve used these oils for hay fever, bites, stings, sprains, sore throats, headaches, ear aches, tooth aches, rashes, upset tummies, anxiety, pmt and countless other physical and emotional things. I haven’t had to buy over the counter medicine in months and I have just started using them for cleaning products too.
My family enjoy knowing there’s an oil for pretty much anything and head there first and foremost.
Save the heavy medicines for proper illnesses so that we don’t build up an immunity to them x

Clare,

I'm sure any Mum that reads this Blog will be nodding and then realising that it doesn't have to be down to them.

My son is now 12 but since he was 3 he's helped with little jobs. Not always done these days as he approaches his teens, but a gentle reminder seems to do the trick

A fab read!

It is sad, 'us mums' have to stay focused on what we know is best for our own children despite all the pressure which comes from all sides. I am so pleased that this post resonated with you Tracey x

Totally agree!

It's so sad that education has become a number-crunching process and all I want for my son is for him to be happy, live a life that fulfils him and he follows his dreams. Something that 'piece of paper' fails to mention.
